Charles Bradley - This World (Is Going Up In Flames)

Earthquakes. Hurricanes. In Connecticut? At this point I'm just waiting for the plague of locusts and wondering if Mr. Bradley is right.

Charles Bradley - Heart of Gold (Neil Young cover)

Blog-favorite Charles Bradley has a new single, performing a soulful version of Neil Young's "Heart of Gold".  This full brass band version of Young's classic is paired with a cut from Bradley's debut 'No Time for Dreaming', "In You (I Found a Love)".  The official worldwide release date is May 3rd, but fans can get the 45 or mp3s through Daptone Records through the month of the April.  Embedded below is a live acoustic version with guitarist Thomas Brenneck, founder of Brooklyn's Menehan Street Band.  Enjoy!

Lovin' you this Valentine's Day

Yes we are.  And so is Charles Bradley's retro-soul ballad.  An incredible debut from the singer, 62 years young.  Timeless topics of love and strife are adeptly handled through Bradley's impassioned vocals and tight accompaniment from the band, taking you to the R&B days of old.  Enjoy "Lovin' You, Baby", embedded below, and have a great V-Day.
